LaTeXiT

LaTeXiT 2.2.0

LaTeXiT is a small utility that allows you to quickly typeset LaTeX equations, without bothering with file creation, preambles, and so on. The PDF image obtained can then be exported by drag'n drop to any application supporting it. This is very useful to insert equations in presentations made with Keynote or Powerpoint. LaTeXiT also features an application service, so that you can type and transform equations directly in most text editors (Pages, Nisus Writer Express, TextEdit...).

Warning : LaTeXiT requires that a LaTeX engine is installed to function properly!

Unusual note

The developer rarely speaks about himself, but exceptionally, I wanted to tell something.

I think LaTeXiT has become a great tool along the years, and I am happy to provide it as totally free. That won't change.
However, I am in a part of my life where money is also important for my family life, and it would help me right now to get some reward for the work I have done so far in LaTeXiT.

If you are an individual, just ignore that. What's new ?

  • latexizations can now be interrupted;
  • fixed a case where the preferences of additional scripts would not be saved;

  • It is now possible to reduce the size of the text area (through the Preferences or the Window menu);
  • The history now displays the PDF instead of a bitmap version of the images. Finally, it seems that the increased display speed does not really balance the additional memory consumption;
